Three Life-Saving Tools for Creatives

As a creative, I know it can be a total brain-drain when trying to keep projects straight while producing your best work. These three tools have been lifesavers for me and will work wonders for you, too!

Canva

Canva is a design tool for non-graphic designers. This tool is my go-to for any piece of marketing material I need in a pinch. The stunning and easy-to-use templates are perfect if you’re not in the mood to create from scratch. You can do so much with the free version that you may never need to spring the dough for the premium version, which is a freaky low price of just $13 bucks a month! Canva is my all-time favorite creative tool and I use it on the daily. Give your creative mind a break and let Canva create for you!

Unsplash

Unsplash is by far the best tool I have found for gorgeous photos for all my projects. There is literally a photo of anything your creative mind can imagine. The marvelous thing about Unsplash is that you can use all the photos for personal or commercial purposes without requesting permission rights. And it’s totally free! What I love most about Unsplash is that they take care of their people. If you want to support the artist, Unsplash provides you with the embedded link to credit their work. Bravo! In a world where Unsplash exists, it’s shocking that people are still using cheesy stock photos that have been used a billion times.

Teamwork

With all the projects cluttering up your desktop and your brain, you need a place to get organized. Out of the various project management tools I use, Teamwork is, by far, my favorite! It’s clean, easy to use, and its free version has amazing capabilities. You will love being able to track your scope of work, your deliverables and share documents with Teamwork. You can even track your time – billable and not. Teamwork takes the guesswork out of project management.

Although there are a ton of helpful tools for creatives, these are hands down three of my favorites. If you’re reading this thinking “what if I’m not creative at all?” then I would love to help you.
